Italy’s Vincenzo Nibali Wins Tour de France

Frenchmen Jean-Christophe Péraud and Thibaut Pinot second and third behind Italian

29 year old Sicilian Vincenzo Nibali started the day with a Tour de France lead of 7 minutes and 52 seconds. Nibali ended the day as the sixth rider ever to win the Tour de France as well as Giro d’Italia (2013) and Vuelta a España (2010).

“It’s difficult to ride the Tour but the beauty of it is to cycle on the Champs-Élysées,” said Nibali Saturday night. “That’s the biggest memory I’ve kept from my first participation: the lap of honour, the enormous number of people, Paris’s monuments.”

Marcel Kittel won the final stage on Champs-Élysées. Below some of our favorite photos from Paris via Instagram.
