Colombia Defeats Japan, 4-1

Colombia’s coach Jose Pekerman said the team wanted to finish the group stage with three wins for the first time, and they did! Colombia’s young midfielder James Rodriquez had scored in each of his last four international matches, and he did it again today during the last minute of the game. Japan had a chance as the runner-up of Group D, but Greece and Ivory Coast wanted the spot!

Greece defeated Ivory Coast 2-1 on a stoppage time penalty kick that put them through for the first time in history.
