Group G, the “group of death” was deadly for Portugal as Germany won 4-0. The result is great news for the USA. If Germany wins all of their Group G matches, the U.S. could get out of the group on goal difference with the 2-1 victory over Ghana and a draw with Portugal. Clint Dempsey only needed 30 seconds to score against Ghana. The U.S. would get out of the group outright with wins over Ghana and Portugal. And Portugal is no longer invincible!

Our own Kelsey Corcoran-Galarza is at the Ghana vs USA match and will be sending us updates from Brazil, and unlike ESPN’s play-by-play man Ian Darke, Kelsey knows that Joe Biden is not the president of the United States… Ian, Ian, Ian.
